College and Collage

It's a little ironic to me that I started as an art education major in college and that after one education class I switched to fine art and decided I didn't want to teach. However, every job I have had during and after college has involved teaching-- I was a sewing tutor, a teachers assistant, and after school sewing and art teacher, and now a sunday school teacher at my church and I teach workshops at Paper Source. It's not a bad thing, I have grown to love teaching and all the students I have had. I know I am a really good pragmatic teacher but now I just need to figure out what to do with this skill in turning it into a full time career.

This was the set up for my fun frames class.

This week is my paper collage art class!

Here are some of the samples I made:

So cool! I LOVE how you made the thread "roots," that is just genius. I also like how your bicycling beauty goes off the tag... like a rub-on... how'd you manage that?
